After a stopover in Jarden for Season 2, Episode 9, of HBO's THE LEFTOVERS, we confront the complicated conversation that arises when a film is remarkably effective in its craft, but wears its message a bit too openly on its sleeve. What extends from that starting point is a reflection on the ways we respond to information when it is in conflict with the very roots of our beliefs.
