In our penultimate installment of #2022.2 which looks back at some of the best horror films of last year, we're tackling a throwback double feature with Ti West's visionary pairing of films from last year: X and PEARL. Linked by characters and location but wildly varied in tone and production, these two films are having a fascinating conversation about bodies, gender, desire, age, and sexuality. We're joined in this discussion by friend of the show and author of Empathy for the Devil, JR Forasteros, who provides his insightful wit to help us wrestle down these remarkable films.
