Scream (1996) Redux

It's Spooky Season here at the Fear of God and we're following a tradition established last year where every September/October we march through an iconic horror franchise, covering each installment in depth. This year we present #Screamaween! Yes indeed, we like scary movies and we are marching through the Scream franchise one at a time to cover the kills, the frights, the rules, the callouts, and the memories we'll make along the way.

Since we already covered the original Scream on the show, we invited some powerhouse guests for this Redux conversation: friends of the show Matt Ruff (author of Lovecraft Country and Destroyer of Worlds) and Brandon Grafius (professor and author of Lurking Under the Surface) join us to discuss how well this film still holds up under the light of today's sensibilities and to unpack its iconic legacy in greater depth.

Also featuring a Patron-only segment where Nathan and Reed breakdown the joys and laughs of The Simpsons, Treehouse of Horror VI, this is a really thoughtful and fascinating discussion that we're all very, very proud of. We hope you enjoy it and we look forward to starting this spooky season journey with all of you! "Do you like scary movies...?"
