Episode 213: His House

Welcome to another installment in 20/20/2020-2.0 as we log another favorite 2020 film discussion in the books. This time, it's the directorial debut on Netflix from Remi Weekes, HIS HOUSE. A gripping, terrifying story of two people who have suffered tremendous loss and faced incalculable desperation to flee Sudan in the hopes of a new life in London, His House is a powerfully human nightmare couched in an intensely relevant social issue. Nathan and Reed's dissection of this hauntingly effective film unearths the dreadful dilemma of wrestling with individual transgression versus societal evils, how the two beget each other, and the hope we might have to finally face them with hope and generosity of spirit.

This is a conversation we don't think you'll want to miss and we hope you enjoy it.
