The Complete Conversation: Something Wicked This Way Comes

As the centerpiece of our October season in 2020, we made our way through Ray Bradbury's classic novel of dark carnivals, illustrated men, witches, lightning rods, and humble library janitors: SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES. The novel held a unique relevance given the climate of 2020, with all of the social and political turmoil amidst an ever increasing threat of a global pandemic. But beyond the common fears of time, age, death, and madness, this beautiful and powerful novel also reminded us that the most common cause of all was love, and that perhaps evil ultimately has only the power that we give it.

Presented here are the collected Book Club installments in a singular discussion, including a few excerpts from interviews with Bradbury himself. We'll be back in February with new, regularly scheduled content, but meanwhile we hope you all are safe and well and we can't wait to be back in the FoG with you again.
